Evil, you say?  A problem, perhaps?  We’ll find out what many prominent philosophers have had to say about that during our meeting this week.

The Problem of Evil

Our very own Dr. Robert Gressis will present on The Problem of Evil, and lead a discussion to follow.  Currently an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at California State University, Northridge, Dr. Gressis will focus on the following during his presentation:

  • The free will defense
  • Skeptical theism
  • Privation theodicy

With his enthusiasm and knowledge, we are in for a great night of a topic heavily debated in the Philosophy of Religion.

God and Religion!  Bring your questions.  Bring your arguments.  Bring a friend!  You all get the idea.  Some examples of questions we’ll discuss: Does God exist?  Which religion(s), if any, is/are true?  What arguments or evidence should we consider for either an affirmative or negative answer to either of these two questions?  Etc…
